Lexus IS500 Through The Parking Lot at Watkins Glen!

Here is a little track footage at @wgi1948 in my Lexus IS500, running through The Parking Lot.
I’m still learning and I’m new to this track, but this is already my favorite section. It is fast, technical, and easy to mess up if you get too aggressive. I got faster over the 2 days I was there and I cannot wait to go back hopefully in the fall! This was a great @hookedondrivingne event!

Just a small clip from the session, but Watkins Glen is an awesome track! It was great hanging out with @rrracing_motorsporteng and the guys! Rafi was a huge help dialing in my new coilovers and the new atf cooler duct work they fabricated worked amazingly well!

Shout out to @1nstamiker for being a really excellent and patient instructor and an all-around great dude.

In case you are interested my car has PPE Headers, Gesi Cats and a Bazooka 2 Exhaust. It has upper adjustable camber arms all around, LCA bushings from RR Racing and RCF brakes in the front. I am also currently testing an AME Intake. This was also my first track day with the RR Racing Coil Overs and what a difference from the swift springs I had! The bodyroll practically went away!

Future mods are RR Racing lightweight rotors in the front and dedicated track wheels and tires and a vented cf hood. I am debating on doing something with the cats as well. :)

Limerock coming on the 16th and Thompson a few days after! Lets Go!

Big Thanks to @rrracing_motorsporteng Yesterday I went down to RR Racing to have coilovers installed and to have my atf cooler tweaked on my IS500.

Geza handled the coilover install, alignment, and corner balancing, and the car feels so tight now and I can adjust as needed! Clint and Rafi designed custom ducting to help bring my transmission temps down. Clint and Mark fabricated it, and Rafi installed it.

This was not an off-the-shelf part. It was completely custom, and they spent hours making it work. I mean hours. Rafi and I were there until about 8:30pm finishing up!

That says a lot!

There aren’t many companies putting real time and money into building performance parts for our cars. R&R Racing is one of the few that actually supports the Lexus platform, tests parts, builds parts, and stands behind what they sell. They spend lots of money researching and developing this stuff for us!

People can shop around and compare prices, but companies like this are the reason we even have options for these cars. If we want more development, better parts, and real support, we need to support the companies that are doing this stuff for us!
